To our community, partners and supporters
The staff and Board of Directors at Africa’s Voices, would like to express our sincere appreciation for your support throughout 2022! We hope that while you read this message, you are well, together with your loved ones.
Your support in 2022 has enabled us to sail through what was otherwise a challenging year, while amplifying communities’ and citizens’ voices across Kenya, Ghana and Somalia. We acknowledge that there is still a lot of work to be done in amplifying citizens’ voices across Africa. However, we continue to build a legacy that you can be proud of.
In 2022, we take great delight in having instigated community transformation in a unique and inclusive way. Our work has continued to improve lives at the community level, either by challenging the norms that underpin harmful practices in the society or placing citizens’ voices at the centre of decision making and development.
At Africa’s Voices, we have remained to be the trusted bridge between decision makers and citizens. Using our interactive radio and SMS methodology, we build inclusive dialogue spaces that bring together citizens and decision makers. Africa’s Voices remains a key player in the data ecosystem as we continue to collect Citizen-Generated Data (CGD); therefore providing problem focused data-source that compliments and fills in data gaps, while doing our part in getting CGD to be appreciated and used more in official circles.
Friends, as you start to make plans for the New Year that lies ahead, I ask you to keep Africa’s Voices and the citizens/community we serve in the forefront of your thoughts. Let us look forward to another incredible year of defying the odds and overcoming challenges together!
I genuinely appreciate your dedication to amplifying the voices of citizens and challenging the norms that underpin harmful practices in communities and look forward to working together in 2023.
