Africa’s Voices is pleased to welcome Patrick Wamukulu who joins our team with over 12 years’ progressive experience in international development in various capacities with different INGOs. His experience spans around new business development, donor facilitation and engagement, donor research and donor landscape intelligence, networking, and partnership building, program development and management and program quality and compliance experience with a solid understanding of different donor regulations and procedures pertaining to grants management, and the ability to interpret and explain them. Patrick has interacted with major Donors such as DFAT, SIDA, AICS, ECHO, UNICEF, WFP, OCHA, UNHCR, USAID, USDA among others.
He joins AVF from Oxfam in Somali-land as the Country Funding and Grants Management Coordinator supporting in the planning, coordination, securing, and management of restricted and unrestricted funds to enable Oxfam to deliver its work in Somalia, including developing and maintaining good relationships with donors and effectively coordinating and supporting the proposal and report development.
Prior to Oxfam, Patrick also worked with the Africa Union Commission Department of Social Affairs in Ethiopia, Right to Play in South Sudan, People in Need in Somalia, VSO Jitolee in Kenya and World Vision in Uganda. He has a Masters in Development Studies from the University of Daystar and Bachelor of Arts degree from Kyambogo University in Kampala.
